• Former WWE Writer Reveals How He Fantasy Booked Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns At WrestleMania To Get A Job In WWE

During a podcast appearance, former WWE writer Jimmy Jacobs (who was released last year from WWE after he clicked a photo with the Bullet Club and promoted their Raw invasion on Instagram) revealed how he fantasy booked the main event of WrestleMania 31, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, to get a job in WWE.

Below is what he said:

“They had me give a writing sample which is something along the lines of… you know… book like five matches of WrestleMania and book the build-up to them and what you’re gonna do on Raw and all that sort of stuff. So just basically fantasy booking… a little bit of WrestleMania. And I did. It’s pretty good I think.

The main event was of course Brock Lesnar. That was Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. So I had it on the build to WrestleMania that to send a message to Roman Reigns – Brock Lesnar destroys Dean Ambrose. And Seth (Rollins) had the Money in the Bank at this point.

So basically the finish to WrestleMania is Brock Lesnar beats Roman Reigns, but then out comes like a hobbling Dean Ambrose to attack Brock Lesnar for what he did to him earlier. And then here comes Seth.

So basically The Shield beat Brock Lesnar at the end of the night and you go off WrestleMania with the three Shield members in the ring, Seth is the new champion and not knowing like if The Shield is back together or not. And then of course next on Raw turns out they’re not, but you end this huge moment with this question.

So on March 6, 2015 I was in a hotel in Baltimore, Maryland. At about 7:20 I got a phone call from a 203 number which is a Stanford area code and it was a lady from HR saying they are gonna start the hiring process and it was one of the most emotionally charged moments of my life.”
