• Former WWF Champion Got Fined By Vince McMahon On His 1st Day In The Company
During an episode of his To Be The Man podcast, Conrad Thompson asked Ric Flair if he appeared backstage before his WWF debut in the early 90s to meet his new co-workers.
Flair said he was late on his first day in the World Wrestling Federation and Vince McMahon fined him $500 for it.
Below is what the former WWF Champion said:
“No, I never got there till – I can’t remember, it was Dayton TV, was my first night there.
I met Sherri Martel at the hotel and we stayed out, drank all night and I was 5 minutes late for TV on my first day and my first day at TV, he called me aside and said, ‘That’s 500 bucks. This isn’t WCW. You’re here on time.'”
