Former WWF Champion Retiring After WrestleMania 33?

Big Show - WWE Champion

During a recent appearance on The Jim Norton and Sam Roberts Sirius Radio Show, former WCW & WWF Champion The Big Show revealed that WrestleMania 33 will be his final WrestleMania. This is in accordance with him noting in the past that his current WWE contract expires in February 2018 and he won’t be re-signing.

However, during an interview with Bleacher Report, The Big Show hinted that he might be retiring after WrestleMania 33 and not when his contract expires in 2018. Below is what The Big Show said when he was asked about the end of his career being near:

“My career is winding down. I didn’t mind being 480, 500 pounds when I was full-time as the Big Show. I liked being the monster that was bigger than everybody around me. As your career evolves, there are other monsters that are coming in—and my time is done.”

Big Show was originally scheduled to face Shaquille O’Neal at WrestleMania 33 (a match which Big Show wanted for years), but WWE couldn’t finalize on a deal with Shaq and the match was dropped.

Big Show will be the part of the 4th annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the WrestleMania 33 Kickoff show this Sunday.
