An encounter between The Undertaker and The Fiend would be a very huge moment to kick off the road to WrestleMania 36.
The Undertaker appearing to cost The Fiend his Universal Championship would not only protect him from losing clean to Bryan, but also set up a potential Taker vs. Fiend bout at “The Grandest Stage Of Them All”.
WWE was reportedly planning The Fiend to be The Deadman’s last opponent, but the idea was scrapped later. According to new reports, WWE still hasn’t planned anything major for WrestleMania which means they can still go with their old plans.
The Undertaker’s return to WWE programming is also rumored to be at Royal Rumble this month since the Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas isn’t currently sold out. Also, Taker is from Houston, Texas, so that could be another factor in why The Deadman could be interested in making a return at this event.
There is also speculation that 2020 could be the final year of The Undertaker’s in-ring career. WrestleMania 36 may be his last WrestleMania, and what would be a better way to end his career than passing the torch to The Fiend as the next face of fear.
