Goldberg was reportedly involved in an incident during his time in WCW, where he allegedly chokeslammed wrestler Evan Karagias for refusing to dap him after Goldberg had his hand in his pants.
Violent J shared the story on the 1 of a Kind podcast, recalling a moment before a show when Goldberg was standing ringside with his hands cupping his balls.
When Karagias offered Goldberg a dap, he recoiled, pointing out where Goldberg’s hand had been. In response, Goldberg immediately grabbed Karagias by the neck and chokeslammed him over the guardrail onto the floor.
Afterward, Karagias, shaken and concerned about his neck, asked Violent J if he would testify in court if he decided to sue, but Violent J declined.
Here’s what Violent J said:
“I got a funny story about Goldberg, man. Yeah, in WCW. One time, we were sitting in the arena before the show opened, you know, and there were just a couple of wrestlers standing around. Nobody in the arena — just the workers and everything.
Goldberg is standing ringside, on this side of the guard rail, and he’s got his sweatpants on, right? And he’s got his hands cupping his balls, you know what I’m saying? They’re in his pants, cupping his balls — something many men do, you know?
So Evan Karagias comes walking up to Goldberg. Me and Joey are sitting there, watching all this, and Evan Karagias walks up to Goldberg. He goes to say something and puts his hand out to give him a dap, you know? So Goldberg removes his hand from his balls and goes to give him the dap. Evan goes, ‘Whoa, man, no! That was on your balls!’
Man, Goldberg just snatched that kid by the neck. I’m telling you, right then and there, he chokeslammed him over the guard rail. He lifted him up by the neck, over the guard rail, and slammed him onto the floor. Evan hit the ground—bang! Did like a backward somersault on the mat or whatever.
Then he just ran. Yeah, he ran, and he came and sat by me and Joey. He was like, ‘Did you see that? What the f**k is wrong with my neck?!’ Then he goes, ‘If I sue, will you testify in court?’ And I was like, ‘F**k no.’”
