• “Goldberg in his prime would eat Roman Reigns for lunch” – Bill Goldberg

Before facing Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, WWE Hall Of Famer Bill Goldberg was interviewed on La Previa de WWE.

During this interview, the WCW Legend said the following about facing The Tribal Chief:

“I feel very indifferent. Goldberg in his prime would eat Roman Reigns for lunch and there would be absolutely no competition, period, end of story.

It’s a match that I wanted to have happen 2 years ago, 10 years ago, but the fact is that I’m not in control of everything and I asked to compete no matter what the time, no matter what the location, no matter what stage I am in my life.”

In the opening match of the main show of Elimination Chamber 2022, Reigns defeated Goldberg to retain the Universal Title.

Goldberg passed out to Reigns’ Guillotine submission hold to lose the match.

The WCW Legend delivered two Spears to Reigns. He went for the Jackhammer twice, but Reigns first countered it with a Urinage / Rock Bottom and the second time he locked in the Guillotine.
