Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Goldberg and WrestleMania 42.

• Goldberg’s Retirement Match Could Take Place On The Same Date As AEW All In

Goldberg’s retirement match is in the works and could take place in a key location.

In an interview with My San Antonio, Goldberg said his final match will happen “in the south.” Sources told Fightful Select that the current plan is for the match to be held in Atlanta.

Goldberg has deep ties to the city, having played football for both the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Falcons, and he lived there for many years.

In a strategic move, WWE is internally planning to hold Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12 — the same date as AEW’s All In: Texas PPV.

Although nothing has been officially announced, and it’s unclear whether this event will feature Goldberg’s retirement match, his name is definitely being discussed for the event.

• Main Reason Behind WWE Planning To Host WrestleMania In Las Vegas On A “Regular Basis”

WWE may be bringing WrestleMania back to Las Vegas more often.

It was first reported by Wrestlenomics that WrestleMania 42 would no longer take place in New Orleans. WWE later confirmed the change but has not officially named a new host city. However, Las Vegas is being considered as the location for WrestleMania 42 in 2026, following the success of WrestleMania 41 in the city.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE is considering hosting WrestleMania in Las Vegas on a regular basis. It wouldn’t be every year, but the city could host it frequently—especially in years when it isn’t already hosting events like the Super Bowl or NCAA championships.

The Observer also noted that WWE made significantly more money in Las Vegas this year and they know New Orleans wouldn’t be able to match it. This is the main reason for the switch.

New Orleans officials say they’ve been promised two premium live events to make up for the change, with one being Money In The Bank in 2026.

The current internal plan is to host WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium on April 18 and 19, 2026.
