• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (April 26, 1998) – WWF In Your House 21: Unforgiven

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on April 26, 1998, the World Wrestling Federation aired ‘WWF In Your House 21: Unforgiven’ LIVE on PPV from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

It was the 21st edition of the In Your House pay-per-views, but at the same time the first ever “Unforgiven”, an event that was held every year after that, all though without the “In Your House” theme.

This event featured the first ever Inferno match in professional wrestling history.

Below are the results from that night:

– Faarooq, Ken Shamrock & Steve Blackman defeated The Nation

– WWF European Championship: Triple H (c) defeated Owen Hart

– NWA World Tag Team Championship: The New Midnight Express (c) defeated The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express

– Evening Gown Match: Luna Vachon defeated Sable

• Good News For Bray Wyatt’s New Character

During a recent edition of his podcast, Brad Shepard revealed the idea behind Bray Wyatt’s new character:

“I spoke to a source in WWE who told me the idea behind Bray Wyatt’s new character was essentially Mr. Rogers Neighbourhood meets Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde. The idea is for him to be the creepiest and the scariest character that they’ve produced in recent history and for him to be unbeatable for the foreseeable future.”

Wyatt has lost almost all of his big feuds in WWE, so him being booked to be unbeatable is good news for his new character.
