• Gunther Defends Involvement Of Celebrities At WrestleMania

WrestleMania is the grandest stage of them all and WWE tries to get as many celebrities involved as possible for this event, in order to get mainstream media attention.

If we look at the last few years, WrestleMania 36 had Rob Gronkowski, WrestleMania 37 had Bad Bunny and WrestleMania 38 had Logan Paul (before he signed an official contract with WWE).

Some wrestlers aren’t happy about the involvement of celebrities, because they take up spots that could’ve been their own.

During an interview on Superstar Crossover, Intercontinental Champion Gunther defended the involvement of celebrities and had the following to say:

“Some WrestleMania spots won’t be available because we have celebrities come in like Bad Bunny or Logan.

I get the part that there is a little bit of frustration, but on the other hand, I think it helps us immensely.

It helps everybody involved. It helps our business in general to generate way more attention.

The only thing I think is important is, whoever comes in from the outside and takes part in what we do, they have to have a passion for it and has to take it serious to be part of our product.

That’s the case with the celebrities we have right now.”

Speaking of celebrities, Bad Bunny will host the WWE Backlash 2023 premium live event in San Juan, Puerto Rico on May 6th.
