We recently reported that WWE turned down CM Punk’s request to return to his former employer, after already working for them from 2006 to 2014.

Despite that report, fans keep speculating that Punk could still return as early as November 25th at this year’s annual Survivor Series premium-live-event, as it will take place at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

During an episode of Busted Open Radio, 2018 WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley (aka Bully Ray) also expressed his doubts about reports of WWE turning down CM Punk being true.

Here’s what the Old School Tag Team Legend had to say:

“I’m wondering if Punk is actually gonna be at Survivor Series and this whole stuff, about WWE saying ‘Thanks but no thanks’ is a ruse. I go by what my own eyes see and my own ears hear. I’ve heard plenty of people put him over and say he really tries to help.

I’m speculating, but there is a chance that Punk is a very misunderstood personality. When you are brutally honest in the wrestling business, you’re normally in the ultra-minority, and people don’t know how to deal with brutally honest people in wrestling.”

CM Punk’s last WWE match to date was the traditional 30-man Royal Rumble match in 2014.

If the reports of WWE turning him down, are actually true, Punk could end up with IMPACT Wrestling as soon as their Bound For Glory pay-per-view, that airs LIVE tonight from Cicero in his home state of Illinois.
