Below are some top WWE & AEW news stories of the day.

• WWE has a long list of restricted words and moves. The Piledriver recently came back into the spotlight after Kevin Owens performed the previously banned move on Randy Orton on SmackDown.

Mark Henry shared his thoughts on the incident after seeing Owens use the Piledriver. Following the move, Orton had to be stretchered out.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Henry remarked that WWE’s fine for such a move would likely be at least $50,000, suggesting this could lead to even more drama down the line.

Here’s what the WWE Hall of Famer said:

“I think that they should say, if you do it, it’s gonna be a $50,000 fine. When I was a kid, the DDT was the thing because… You remember playing wrestling? ‘I’m Jake The Snake, I got the DDT’ – ‘No no no, you can’t have it, I got it’. Because everybody knew, what’s gonna happen when you take the Jake The Snake DDT? It’s over.

I don’t wanna see the Piledriver become, again, like a DDT or a Superkick. You know what I wanna see? I wanna see somebody say, ‘Hey, I got 50 grand burning a hole in my pocket. (I’m gonna) Piledrive your a$$.’”

• Even after taking an unexpected TK Driver from The Young Bucks in April, which resulted in him wearing a neck brace, AEW President Tony Khan has no intention of participating in an official match.

Although his in-ring moment alongside The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada on AEW Dynamite in April stirred up fan excitement, Khan clarified that it was a one-time event.

When asked on Levack and Goz about the possibility of wrestling in his own promotion, Khan replied:

“I still don’t think that is in the cards. A lot of the best wrestlers in the world are in AEW. ‘Where the best wrestle’ is our tagline, and I want to keep it that way and keep myself out of the ring.”
