• “He will be WWE Champion, eventually” – Kurt Angle On His Former Opponent

During a recent episode of his podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle praised current RAW Superstar Robert Roode (aka Bobby Roode), who he faced multiple times in TNA.

Angle thinks Roode (age 45) will eventually becoming the WWE Champion because he has everything it takes to become one.

Here’s what Angle said:

“He had everything it took. From his looks, to in-ring ability, to promo skills, relating to a character that he wanted to do, Bobby was one of the best. I knew that he would have a lot of promise and have a lot of success anywhere he went, WWE, TNA, AEW, it wouldn’t have mattered. Bobby Roode was going to be successful.

I think that the [WWE] is so wrapped up in making sure they’re producing their stars, sometimes they overlook other guys, and it’s unfortunate. But eventually, Bobby will get his chance.

I know he’s gotten a lot of chances that didn’t last very long, but I think that he will eventually get his chance, and he will be WWE Champion, eventually.”

• Old School WCW Referee Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WCW Referee Nick Patrick celebrates his 62nd birthday today.

Nick Patrick started working for WCW’s predecessors NWA Georgia Championship Wrestling (GCW) and Jim Crockett Promotions in 1980 and later also continued his job after GCW folded in 1984 and JCP was sold to Ted Turner, who renamed it World Championship Wrestling.

Patrick is remembered for being one of the very few ‘Heel Referees’ in pro wrestling history, and certainly one of the 2 most famous ones as well (the other one being “Dangerous” Danny Davis), after he joined the nWo ‘New World Order’ heel faction in 1996.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK PATRICK!
