• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (July 4, 1988) – Old School WWF Veteran Passed Away

On this day in 1988, we lost Old School WWF Veteran Adrian Adonis (Real name: Keith Franke Jr.), who died in a car accident at the age of 34.

Adrian Adonis formed ‘The East-West Connection’ with Jesse “The Body” Ventura and ‘The North-South Connection’ with “Dirty” Dick Murdoch, before adapting the gimmick of “Adorable” Adrian Adonis, which led to the legendary match with fellow WWF Legend “Rowdy” Roddy Piper at WrestleMania III, that resulted in Adonis getting his head shaved.

He has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, which might actually happen as part of the annual Legacy Wing inductions.

• Heat On NXT Wrestler For Spoiling Main Event Of Next Week’s NXT Great American Bash

NXT Champion Adam Cole faced off against NXT North American Champion Keith Lee in a “Winner Take All” match at the tapings of NXT’s Great American Bash (Night 2). The match will air next Wednesday night.

The result of the match was posted by NXT wrestler Saurav Gurjar on his Instagram story (tap here to check the spoiler).

F4WOnline noted that WWE management isn’t happy about what The Indus Sher wrestler did, and he has heat because of it.

“I can tell you that it has been made abundantly clear to me that although it seems you cannot possibly be dumb enough to take a photo of the aftermath and put it on your Instagram, that is in fact what happened and the company was furious about it.”

After the above stated spoiler got leaked, an NXT wrestler claimed that WWE taped two finishes for the match (one with Cole winning and one with Lee winning), but that can’t be confirmed at the moment.
