• Heel Turn Takes Place During 1st Ever Women’s War Games Match

The first ever Women’s War Games match kicked off tonight’s NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019 main show. Candice LeRae (of Team Ripley) and Io Shirai (of Team Baszler) kicked off the match.

Team Ripley faced a big set back when Dakota Kai (who replaced Mia Yim as Mia got attacked on the pre-show) turned heel on her team and took out Tegan Nox. Dakota brutally attacked Tegan and even put her hands on NXT General Manager William Regal.

Dakota was then taken out of the arena and Tegan was taken to the back as she’s not medically cleared to wrestle now.

Despite all the odds, Team Ripley wins the match after Rhea Ripley pinned NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler.
