• Here’s Why WWE’s India Event Got Postponed

WWE is scheduled to return to India after 5 years for a Live Event.

The event was supposed to take place on January 18th 2023, at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad.

However, WrestleVotes reported that the event has been postponed:

“I’m told the proposed WWE Live Event in India scheduled for 1/18 has been postponed for unspecified reasons.”

According to the Wrestling Observer, the event got postponed because of WWE’s TV partner in India:

“The decision was made by Sony Sports Network, which is merging with Zee in India, to hold off the show until the merger is finalized. The merger is expected to go through in April, so the show would take place after April.”

Drew McIntyre recently visited India for some WWE work. During this visit, he filmed a WWE TV commercial with Bollywood Actor John Abraham. Below is a photo of them together:
