• “He’s dug himself into a bit of a hole with other things” – Becky Lynch On Ric Flair’s Recent Comments About Her
On this week’s RAW, RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch talked about ending her friendship with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair ahead of their match at the WWE Survivor Series 2021 PPV this Sunday night.
“I’m the person who had to do so much more than be a one-note rip-off of somebody else. I had to tear myself apart and recreate myself time and time again so I could be the biggest star in this industry.”
Charlotte’s father Ric Flair tweeted the following about it:
“I Think I’m Going To Have To Make The Trip Personally To See You Beat The Piss Out Of @MsCharlotteWWE! I Don’t Think So Sister, The Man, Big Time Becks, Or Whatever You Call Yourself. There’s Not Enough Choreography In The Business To Save You @BeckyLynchWWE. 😂😂😂 ”
Becky appeared on The MMA Hour and had the following to say about Ric’s tweet:
“Look, I saw that tweet. The one you’re referring to, the one I’m referring to. I wrote out a response that would’ve been quite biting, and I deleted it and I let it go because I think it’s really sad.
This a legend at one point. This legend, a 16-time World Champion Ric Flair, is now jealous of me. That’s cool, it’s cool for me. And he’s now trying to use me to get clout, to promote whatever he has going on next because he’s dug himself into a bit of a hole with other things.
So I kind of just was like ‘ah, let me let him out of it because it’s kind of sad’, you know? It’s kind of sad.”
Ric then posted a screenshot of a story of him selling the trademark of “The Man” to WWE so Becky could use it and wrote the following in his tweet:
“So Disappointed! I Did This Out Of Respect For You @BeckyLynchWWE! It Made You Millions & Made Me Nothing. After 40 Years Of Being The Man… The Company Doesn’t Own It, And Neither Do You! I’ll Always Be The Man! Ask Your Husband.
In Closing, I’m Done Defending My Legacy! I APPRECIATE Everyone’s Hard Work And Will Respect Everyone’s Opinion To Agree Or Disagree! All I Can Say Is The Paper Trail Is Always The Be All And End All! Hear It All Next Wednesday On
