Hilarious Reactions To Our April Fool’s Prank About WrestleMania 34 Main Event Being Cancelled

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns - WrestleMania 34 Main Event For Universal Championship

We pranked our community yesterday with an April Fool’s prank and posted the following article:

Major WrestleMania 34 Match Cancelled Due To Injury, New Main Event Plan Revealed

“In what turns out to be a horrible news for wrestling fans all over the world, the main event of WrestleMania 34, the much awaited one on one rematch, the battle of the “2” in The Undertaker’s “23-2” WrestleMania record – Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns has been cancelled.

The news shook the wrestling world just a week before WrestleMania 34 as this was the most anticipated match at the event (whether the IWC wants to admit it or not).

The match was cancelled because Universal Champion Brock Lesnar suffered an injury at home. The injury hasn’t been disclosed yet.

With that being said, Lesnar will now be forced to vacate the Universal Championship and WWE is planning to book a new main event for this year’s Show of Shows.

One thing that should be noted is that “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns is still the #1 contender for the Universal Championship and WILL still compete in the main event of WrestleMania 34.

WWE has an interesting plan to determine Reigns’ WrestleMania 34 opponent. The co-main event of the show, The Undertaker vs. John Cena, will now have a stipulation – the winner of this match will face Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 34 to crown the new Universal Champion.

Current plan is for Taker to defeat Cena and then face Reigns once again in the main event of WrestleMania and get his revenge – and walk out of the Superdome as the new Universal Champion!

No word yet on if The Undertaker will have a proper reign as the Universal Champion or WWE officials will have him vacate the title the next night on Raw.

What a turn of events just a week before WrestleMania 34, original plan was for Reigns to win the Universal Title, but now it’s “The Deadman” who’s going to conquer the Universe!

By the way, happy 1st of April.”

We clearly gave out the hint at the end that it’s an April Fool’s prank, but still A LOT of people didn’t get it.

Below are some of the comments that we received regarding this:

Below are a couple of comments from some people who actually got the joke (couldn’t find many as there were A LOT of comments under the post):

For those who are somehow still unsure, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is still ON for WrestleMania 34.
