The Undertaker officially retired from in-ring competition at Survivor Series 2020, after having his final match in the main event of WrestleMania 36 – Night 1.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022 and appeared on both nights of WrestleMania 38 on the stage as a Hall of Famer.

After that, he has only made one appearance on WWE TV, which took place on the 30th anniversary episode of RAW in January 2023, where he came out on his Motorcycle as The American Badass and was involved in a segment with LA Knight and Bray Wyatt.

During an interview with The Independent, The Deadman said he still gets the itch to perform whenever he attends WWE shows and the same thing happened at WrestleMania 39.

Below is what The Phenom said:

“At WrestleMania 39, I was there and I had my family and friends up in a suite watching the show and I kind of found myself rocking in my chair like, ‘oh, my gosh, I should be down there’.

So in those instances, it’s there. It’s still in my heart and it’s in my brain.

I’ve got to the point now where if I’m home, I’m fine. It’s when I do show up at a WWE event I get that ‘I should be getting ready’ feeling.”
