So stunned to hear about the passing of Animal. He was always so active on the indies, making appearances, and always watched the matches and gave feedback. He shared some great stories about pops as well. He will be sorely missed!!! RIP Animal 🙏❤

Heartbroken.
Animal was so good to me when he didn’t have to. I was lucky enough to hang out with him last November and talk old wrestling. Him and Hawk changed pro-wrestling. Now they are gone. But they will live forever in our hearts.
Heartbroken.
Rest well. https://t.co/6sQaSGT2to

I got to know Jess and James, Animal's kids, because we all went to the same high school. Animal would periodically come by the school and I would and tell him how I wanted to be a wrestler too. He was very encouraging. My thoughts are with his family. RIP Animal. https://t.co/y1DOmm9ftV

I feel so lucky to have gotten the chance to hear @RWAnimal’s great stories and to get to know a guy I idolized as a kid. He was strong, funny, brilliant, and a true brother. Thank you Animal! Sending all my love to his family and friends worldwide.

RIP Joe Laurinaitis aka @RWAnimal Very saddened to hear this awful news. A true icon of tag team wrestling, and a gentleman. We did this tribute to him and Hawk on a few occasions, and he was nothing but complimentary of it and very gracious. I will miss you my friend. Godspeed pic.twitter.com/IxRxCErQJ5
