• “I don’t want to leave, but I am a businessman” – Top AEW Wrestler

During a recent interview with Steel Chair Magazine, AEW wrestler MJF was asked where does he see himself in 3-4 years from now.

MJF said he would be near the end of his current contract with AEW and noted that he will be open to listening to offers outside of All Elite Wrestling.

Here’s what MJF said:

“I’d say I’d be near the end of my contract. I would be the AEW World Champion, I would still be a part of the greatest faction in professional wrestling known as The Pinnacle, all of my brothers in arms would also have gold and then, at that point, the highest bidder, baby.

Me and my boys, we’re willing to go wherever the money’s at, it’s that simple.

Don’t get me wrong, AEW runs deep in me, I don’t want to leave, but I am a businessman at the end of the day, and I can’t help myself if somebody’s got an offer for me, I’m going to listen to it.”

• Old School Wrestling Legend Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WCW/WWF/WWE Legend ‘Sir’ William Regal (Real name: Darren Matthews) celebrates his 53rd birthday today.

Those of you who watched WCW at some point between 1992 and 1999, will certainly remember him as ‘Lord’ Steven Regal.

In between, Regal had a brief stint in the World Wrestling Federation in 1998, where he was presented as “Real Man’s Man” Steven Regal, but when he returned to the WWF in 2000, they changed his name to William Regal, because they thought the first name “Steven” sounded too similar to Steve Austin’s name.

Him getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is actually only a matter of “when” and certainly not “if”.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WILLIAM REGAL!
