Tessa Blanchard, the first ever female IMPACT Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion in history and daughter of Old School NWA/WWF Legend Tully Blanchard, was recently rumored to be close to signing a contract with Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling and SEScoops reported that negotiations between the two parties were so close that “all but a formality” was done.
However, the Wrestling Observer has now confirmed that AEW is not going to sign her because of past rumors of her being a bully, despite Tessa herself always denying those rumors.
“She could be one of the top stars in the company and of great value to the division, but her past has made it to where up to this point the decision has been made not to try and bring her in.”
