Below are some top news stories of the day, involving Adam Cole and Chirsty Hemme.

• Adam Cole was sidelined for over a year before making his return at AEW’s WrestleDream pay-per-view in Tacoma, WA, where he confronted MJF, who exited through the crowd.

Cole had been out of action since breaking his ankle during the AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam 2023 event. The injury occurred when Cole jumped off the entrance ramp while rushing to the ring during MJF’s World Title match against Samoa Joe, causing him to limp afterward.

Later on, at Worlds End, Cole was revealed as The Devil, attacking MJF after MJF lost the AEW World Title. However, MJF got payback at Double Or Nothing by taking down his former tag team partner.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Cole revealed that his surgery involved using bone of a dead person (donor) after his ankle completely disintegrated. The bone was used in place of a metal plate during his second surgery.

Here’s what the former NXT Champion said:

“Not only did I have to get double the amount of screws in my ankle, but also, I had to get someone else’s bone put into my ankle because the bone piece within my ankle just completely disintegrated. Incredibly thankful to [the donor] and the family.”
