• “I hate nostalgia. Legends can’t keep coming back” – SmackDown Champion

WWE has always relied on its legends to help elevate big shows. Over the years, the company has regularly featured legends at marquee events like WrestleMania and SummerSlam. In the last decade, they’ve even become a staple of WWE’s Premium Live Events in Saudi Arabia, thanks to the reception they receive in the kingdom.

However, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes isn’t a fan of the company’s dependence on old-timers. Speaking on his ‘What Do You Wanna Talk About?’ podcast, The American Nightmare opened up about why he thinks the company relies too heavily on nostalgia and shared his thoughts on moving the business forward.

“I hate nostalgia, but I love my business. I already know what all these guys did for us. Thank you – they’ve set the table that I get to eat at. But man, they can’t keep coming back.

From a wrestling perspective, we have to move forward. I don’t want them coming back. I don’t mean any disrespect – I want them to come to a show, sit, and watch a show. Watch what they’ve done for the business.”

Speaking of Rhodes, he will face NXT Champion Oba Femi at Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend.

• Top WWE Star Used To Believe John Cena Didn’t Belong In Wrestling

John Cena may be celebrated today as one of the greatest of all time, but his rise wasn’t always universally embraced. Throughout the 2010s, the 17-time World Champion faced heavy criticism from sections of the fanbase who felt he was overpushed, leaned too much into sports entertainment, and didn’t reflect the in-ring style hardcore fans valued.

One of those critics was GUNTHER. In an interview with ESPN’s First Take, The Ring General admitted that, early in his career, he couldn’t stand Cena’s presentation and didn’t think that The GOAT fit the world of pro wrestling.

“I just remember when I started wrestling, 20 years ago now, I remember that I hated that guy in jorts on TV week by week. I always thought it doesn’t belong in the ring.

I’m a big purist. I’m a big traditionalist, and I said it on Monday. John Cena is definitely the greatest sports entertainer of all time, but I’m the greatest professional wrestler there is right now.”

GUNTHER is set to be John Cena’s final opponent at the final Saturday Night’s Main Event of 2025 on December 13 in Washington, D.C.

• Nikki Bella Reacts To Rumor That She’s Dating RAW Wrestler

Nikki Bella parted ways with dancer Artem Chigvintsev last year following her ex-husband’s arrest for domestic violence. Her dating life has been a topic of discussion among fans since then.

It’s well known that the WWE Hall of Famer is a big fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, which WWE star Grayson Waller also supports. This connection, along with Nikki leaving a green heart emoji on one of Waller’s recent Instagram posts, led some fans to speculate that the two might be dating.

Waller was at the NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans last weekend. He shared a photo from the stadium with the caption:

“Wrong game DH”

He wore an Eagles hoodie to the game and added “F The Chiefs” as the song played in the background.

Nikki Bella left the following two comments on the post:

“lol but love the spirit! [green heart emoji] [fire emoji]”

“Omgosh the song [laughing emoji]”

A fan shared a screenshot of the interaction on X and speculated:

“GRAYSON WALLER AND NIKKI BELLA ARE DATING???”

Nikki quickly responded on X, clarifying that she isn’t dating Waller and that the green heart emoji was just a friendly nod to a fellow Eagles fan.

“[green heart emoji] = bleed green

For the rumormongers & gossip queens [kiss emoji]”

This is the second rumor Nikki has had to deny recently, as she also shut down claims earlier this week that she was sleeping with fans.
