• “I haven’t had my last match” – Former WWE Champion Confirms He’s Returning

16-Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon last night.

Cena was asked about rumors of him returning to WWE and here’s what the WWE Legend said:

“Those rumors are true. I will definitely be back to the WWE, I just don’t know when.”

Cena was then asked about posting the WWE logo on his Instagram page back in May, which began speculation that his return is imminent.

Here’s what Cena said about that:

“Yeah, I posted that back in May. I was feeling rather nostalgic about the WWE, and I just wanted to post the logo. Some people took it as I was returning immediately, which is not the case.

I haven’t had my last match and I can’t wait to have my next match.”

Cena is rumored to face Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship in the main event of SummerSlam 2021.

• Old School WWF Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today Would Have Been The 63rd birthday of Old School WWF Veteran Zeus (Tom “Tiny” Lister Jr.).

Zeus was originally the monster heel Villain in the 1989 movie No Holds Barred, where he played Hulk Hogan’s main opponent.

No Holds Barred was the first ever movie produced by Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling Federation, and the idea was to bring Zeus into the WWF with the storyline behind it being, that he is pissed after having to lose to Hogan in the movie.

Zeus main evented the SummerSlam 1989 PPV and the ‘No Holds Barred – The Match, The Movie’ PPV, but also wrestled in an elimination match during the 1989 Survivor Series PPV.

Almost 7 years after his WWF stint, he joined Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling, where he wrestled as Z-Gangsta in the main event of the Uncensored 1996 pay-per-view.

He isn’t in the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame yet, but that might very well happen at some point in the future.
