• “I would’ve loved that to go on for years” – Kurt Angle Reveals The Favorite Part Of His Career
During an episode of his weekly ‘The Kurt Angle Show’ podcast, our 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist revealed what he considers the favorite time in his professional wrestling career.
Kurt Angle named his run with ‘Team Angle’ Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin – all while being managed by Paul Heyman – between December 2002 and WrestleMania XIX (March 30th 2003) as his favourite time.
Here’s what the 2017 WWE Hall of Famer had to say:
“This was awesome. This was the favorite part of my career. I just felt that Team Angle didn’t last long enough and it had a lot to do with my injuries, unfortunately.
But I would’ve loved Team Angle to go on for years.”
Kurt Angle wrestled his final professional wrestling match at the WWE WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view on April 7th 2019, which he lost to Baron Corbin.
The former 13-time World Heavyweight Champion (2x WWF Champion, 2x WWE Champion, 1x WCW World Heavyweight Champion in the WWF, 1x World Heavyweight Champion in WWE, 6x TNA World Champion, 1x IWGP Heavyweight Champion) has been officially retired ever since.
