Michael Cole missed only his 3rd show since joining WWE. He didn’t work Friday’s SmackDown, as Corey Graves said Cole is on a “special assignment”. Wade Barrett replaced Cole.

Below are the complete results from SmackDown, which featured Roman Reigns “acknowledging” Solo Sikoa and reuniting with Jey Uso, and Motor City Machine Guns making their WWE debut.

– Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline kicked off tonight’s SmackDown. Fans chanted “OTC” and “Solo Sucks” as he told the fans to acknowledge him. Solo said he created a bigger and stronger family, and Roman Reigns & Jimmy Uso can’t do anything about it. Solo said Jey Uso doesn’t want to help Roman either. Sikoa said these beatdowns will continue, unless Roman comes to the ring and acknowledges him by the end of the night. Jey Uso’s music hits and the Intercontinental Champion comes to the ring through the crowd! Jey said he’s not here to fight his little brother. Jey told Solo to think about what he’s doing to the family and The Bloodline. Jey said fighting over the Ula Fala is not it, as it’s earned, not taken. Jey told Solo to not divide the family. Solo said he’s trying to unite the family and told him to not call him “little brother”, as he’s his Tribal Chief now. Solo told him to not go down the Jimmy Uso path and then asked him “are you in? Or are you out?”. Jey then asked Solo why he went and joined forces with Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa & Jacob Fatu? As there’s a reason they stayed away from them. Jey then said if Jacob keeps staring at him, he’s gonna knock his a$$ out. Before leaving the ring, Jey said the next time he sees Solo, it’s going to be different.

– #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) def. Pretty Deadly and The Street Profits in a Triple Threat Match in a #1 Contender’s Tournament Match

– Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso showed up to the arena and met Jey Uso on his way out. Jey looked at Roman with disgust and tried to leave, but Roman stopped him. Here’s how their conversation went:

Roman: I’m proud of you. We all are.

Jey: Man, no yeet.

– Lash Legend (with Jakara Jackson) def. Piper Niven (with Chelsea Green)

– Backstage in their locker room, Jimmy Uso told Roman Reigns that he needs to talk to Jey Uso. Roman said to Jimmy that you already tried on RAW and nothing happened. Roman said he’s going to fix this his way, by acknowledging Solo Sikoa later tonight.

– Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes said he’s going to become the first ever Crown Jewel Champion and invited World Heavyweight Champion Gunther to next week’s SmackDown.

– In a pre-taped video, Kevin Owens said he can’t believe how Randy Orton betrayed him. He can’t believe Orton picked Cody Rhodes over him. With Orton breaking his trust, Owens said he doesn’t know if or when he’ll be back.

– Randy Orton met SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and said he wants Kevin Owens at Crown Jewel. Aldis said he can’t make that happen and this order is coming from above (top WWE officials). Orton said he knows who he can talk to.

– Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) def. A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) and Los Garza (Angel & Berto) in a #1 Contender’s Tournament Match

This was MCMG’s WWE debut match and Corey Graves mentioned on commentary that they are former 3-time TNA World Tag Team Champions.

Sabin & Shelley will now face #DIY next week to determine who will face Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa for the WWE Tag Team Titles.

– Andrade and Carmelo Hayes brawled backstage.

– WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax & Candice LeRae (replacement for Tiffany Stratton) def. Bayley & Naomi after interference from Indi Hartwell

Candice pinned Bayley to win the match for her team.

– Nick Aldis announced that United States Champion LA Knight will be the special guest referee for Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes next week.

– Roman Reigns came to the ring and asked the fans to acknowledge him, maybe for the last time. Solo Sikoa then came out in his wrestling gear. Roman said he heard Solo told Jey that their family and Bloodline is stronger now, but he doesn’t see it. Roman said they’re divided and broken. Roman said everything they went through, everything they lost this summer, and they stand divided. Roman said he told his father he could fix this. Roman said all he wants is to have titles around their waists and have paychecks coming from the heavens. Roman asked what he can do to fix this. Solo said all Roman has to do is acknowledge him. Roman said “I acknowledge you” and asked if that makes him feel better? Solo said that’s not good enough. Solo wants Roman to acknowledge him as his Tribal Chief, or else. Roman shouted “or else what?”. Solo said there it is, Roman hasn’t changed, and he won’t change either. Solo then called out his Bloodline, and they brought out a beaten down Jimmy Uso. Solo tried to attack Roman, but Roman took him out. Roman also took out Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Jacob Fatu. Solo came back and Roman hit him with the Superman Punch. Roman picked up the Ula Fala and wore it, but Solo hit him with the low blow and took it back. The Bloodline then began beating up The OTC. Solo laid out Roman with 2 Samoan Spikes. Solo said he’s The Tribal Chief because these people acknowledge him, while the fans chanted “Solo Sucks”. SmackDown went off the air with The Bloodline standing tall over a fallen down Roman Reigns.
