At the NJPW Battle In The Valley event in San Jose, California in January, “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry returned.
This was his first appearance since his backstage fight with CM Punk at All In 2023, which resulted in him getting suspended and Punk getting fired.
Perry ripped his AEW contract during this appearance. You can watch it below:

According to the Wrestling Observer, Perry is still under contract with AEW, but isn’t being utilized because Tony Khan isn’t happy with him:
“He has not been fired. He’s absolutely not been fired, but they’re not using him. Essentially, Tony’s really mad at him because he cost him CM Punk. He’s getting the blame.
He probably should have been suspended for a month or two. Where are we at, 7 months now? 7 Months. It’s ridiculous. The punishment doesn’t fit the crime at this point.”
Speaking of Perry, he will battle top AEW star Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose in WWE) in a tag team match in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
At NJPW Sakura Genesis on April 6th, HOUSE OF TORTURE (“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry & Ren Narita) will take on Jon Moxley & Shota Umino.
