• Jeff Hardy Confirms He’s Joining AEW
After Jeff Hardy left a Live Event match in the middle, WWE thought he was doing drugs again and told him to either go to rehab or he will be released from the company.
Jeff told them to release him because he doesn’t need rehab, as he wasn’t doing any drugs.
WWE then had Jeff take a drug test and they released him before the drug test result came back.
Matt Hardy later revealed that Jeff passed this drug test and also confirmed the report of WWE wanting to bring Jeff back with a Hall Of Fame induction in April 2022, which Jeff turned down.
During an appearance on the Official Jared Myers YouTube channel, Jeff Hardy confirmed that he will be joining AEW soon:
“I’m going to AEW, it’s so exciting. I’m so nervous and excited.”
Jeff and Matt are already advertised for several indy dates. They are promoting it as the final run of The Hardy Boyz. They are expected to have a Tag Team run in All Elite Wrestling as well.
Jeff’s non-compete clause with WWE will end in a few weeks.
