Jesse Ventura is making a long-awaited return to WWE as a commentator for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Ventura, known for his sharp wit and fearless commentary, confirmed on The Bill Simmons Podcast that he has full creative freedom to say whatever he wants and will work 4 episodes in a year:

“The handcuffs are off, I can say anything I want about anyone. I am very excited about it. I don’t discuss finances, but it’s acceptable, and I’ll be doing 4 episodes of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event a year.”

This marks Ventura’s return to WWE commentary after over a decade and follows his signing of a WWE Legends deal earlier this year.

The first broadcast airs live on December 14th from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum at 8/7c on NBC. The event will feature a retro theme, honoring the original show’s debut nearly 40 years ago.

So far, WWE has announced the following matches for this event:

Undisputed WWE Championship Match: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Gunther (c) vs. World Tag Team Champion Finn Balor

Women’s World Championship Match: Liv Morgan (c) vs. IYO SKY

Final Of The Women’s United States Championship Tournament: TBD vs. TBD

According to WrestleTix, WWE has sold 12,396 tickets so far.
