The main event of this week’s WWE RAW saw a major title change, as Gunther defeated Jey Uso to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship. After a reign marked by passion and grit, “The Yeet Man” was unable to withstand the Austrian powerhouse, who ended Jey’s title run with a dominant performance. The loss was more than just a title change—it may signal a significant shift in Jey Uso’s WWE direction moving forward.
WWE Reportedly Planning a Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso Reunion
According to Cory Hays, WWE may use Jey’s loss as the perfect opportunity to begin a long-rumored reunion with his twin brother, Jimmy Uso.
“There were rumblings that WWE was looking to pair The Usos back together sometime this year and with Jey dropping the World Heavyweight Championship it’s looking like that could be the direction,” Hays reported.
The Usos have been apart for a while after internal turmoil within The Bloodline led to their emotional split. Since then, Jey has carved his own path on RAW, while Jimmy remained on SmackDown, caught in the middle of a volatile feud with Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo.
The New Day Target Jey Uso After Title Loss
Adding fuel to the fire, World Tag Team Champions The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods mocked Jey Uso following his defeat. While the interaction may have seemed playful on the surface, many fans see it as a possible tease for an upcoming tag team feud.

If WWE is planning a full Usos reunion, a natural direction would be to pit them against Kofi and Woods for the World Tag Team Titles. With The Usos holding a decorated legacy in tag team wrestling, a showdown with The New Day—arguably their greatest rivals—would mark a major storyline heading into the fall.
What’s Next for Jey Uso in WWE?
Jey Uso’s run as World Heavyweight Champion may have come to an end, but he could be returning to familiar territory: teaming with his brother in pursuit of gold. With WWE continuing to build its tag division, the timing appears ideal for the Uso twins to reunite—and possibly reign once again.
