In a major development on this week’s episode of WWE RAW, Gunther defeated Jey Uso in the main event to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship. The hard-fought battle ended Jey’s reign at 51 days. The loss may now pave the way for something bigger: a long-awaited reunion with his twin brother, Jimmy Uso.

WWE Could Be Reuniting The Usos After Jey Uso’s Title Loss

Following Jey Uso’s title defeat, reports have begun to circulate regarding WWE’s internal creative direction. According to Cory Hays, a reunion between Jey and Jimmy Uso is being actively discussed behind the scenes.

“There were rumblings that WWE was looking to pair The Usos back together sometime this year and with Jey dropping the World Heavyweight Championship, it’s looking like that could be the direction,” Hays reported.

The Usos, one of WWE’s most decorated tag teams, have been apart since 2023 when internal family drama within The Bloodline led to their separation. Since then, Jey has carved out a solo path on RAW, while Jimmy has remained on SmackDown, recently becoming entangled in a feud with his younger brother Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo.

Jey Uso’s Singles Run Could Be Ending Soon

While Jey’s solo run has had standout moments—including his emotional rise to a title win—there’s growing belief backstage that his momentum is starting to stall. A reunion with Jimmy would not only breathe new life into both performers but could also serve as a larger piece in the Bloodline saga.

The loss to Gunther may be a turning point. With Gunther now holding the World Heavyweight Championship again, Jey is left without a clear singles direction—making a tag team reunion even more plausible.

What’s Next For Jey Uso In WWE?

As Jimmy Uso continues to battle Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo on SmackDown, a logical storyline could see Jey eventually showing up to back up his brother, setting the stage for The Usos to reunite as babyfaces against their family adversaries.

Nothing is official yet, but the pieces are in motion. With Jey Uso no longer holding a singles title, the WWE Universe may soon see The Usos standing side by side once more—this time as a united force against Sikoa.
