On this day in 1996, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired another LIVE episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW MONDAY NITRO’.

It was broadcasted from the the Monroe Civic Center in Monroe, Louisiana and featured matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW The Great American Bash 1996’ PPV.

• Jim Ross Reacts To WWE Introducing Another Championship

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley showed up on tonight’s RAW and said that it’s time to make RAW “RAW” again.

Foley then presented the WWE 24/7 Championship and it barely got any reaction from the fans as it looks pretty generic.

Foley said the Title can be defended at any time and any place.

Foley noted that wrestlers from RAW, SmackDown, 205 Live, NXT, NXT UK and even Old School Legends can compete for this Championship.

Wrestlers then came out to win the Title and Titus O’Neil became the first-ever WWE 24/7 Champion by just picking up the Title after fighting other wrestlers.

Robert Roode then pinned Titus out of nowhere to win the Title and become the new WWE 24/7 Champion. R-Truth then pinned Roode in the parking lot to become the new champion and then left the arena in his car. You can watch it below:
