Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, including an update on John Cena:
– Riyadh Season is now advertising John Cena for the WWE Crown Jewel 2023 premium live event on November 4th.
Cena has only worked one PLE in Saudi Arabia so far, which was the inaugural event of WWE’s partnership with Saudi Arabia, Greatest Royal Rumble 2018, where he defeated Triple H in the opening match (which is his last televised singles victory to date).
As of this writing, Cena’s final TV appearance is scheduled for the October 27th episode of SmackDown.

– According to insider source BWE, WWE Officials were very excited for the reaction that The Rock got for his surprise return on SmackDown.
His return received over 100 million views across all Social Media platforms.
There’s a lot of speculation going on that WWE might be doing Roman Reigns vs. The Rock instead of Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes II at WrestleMania 40 in 2024, as Rock said on The Pat McAfee Show that this match was originally planned for WrestleMania 39 and he’d be open to doing it next year if the story WWE comes up with is unprecedented.
BWE reports that Triple H and The Rock had a meeting backstage to discuss story options, but they didn’t reach any agreement.
As of this writing, Cody is still the top choice to face Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40 – Night 2, for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
– The Sunday Times is reporting that the Cook Government & WWE are just days away from announcing a major WWE show at Perth’s Optus Stadium in Australia.
This show is expected to take place in early 2024, on the road to WrestleMania 40, before the start of the AFL season in late March.
This stadium has a capacity of 70,000 for concerts.
