• New Footage Shows What Really Happened During The Paul Heyman Incident At Survivor Series 2025
The viral controversy surrounding Paul Heyman’s interaction with a young fan following the Men’s WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series has taken a new turn, as new camera angles reportedly tell a different story than the initial footage shared across social media.
The incident, which saw footage circulating widely – even picked up by outlets like TMZ – appeared to show Paul Heyman aggressively shoving a young fan who had approached him as he and Logan Paul made their way backstage.
However, the initial, widely shared angle was misleading. New footage, filmed from behind the child, reveals that the fan actively bypassed several layers of security personnel and police officers who were working to maintain a clear path for the performers. The child allegedly pushed past these officials to get close to Heyman.
The full footage shows that while Heyman did extend his arm to create distance from the approaching fan – a split-second reaction in a crowded, high-tension area – it was actually a security official who immediately and physically pulled the fan backward.

This new angle suggests the force that moved the fan was likely applied by the security detail, not Heyman himself.
According to PWInsider, one WWE source reportedly placed the blame squarely on the local security team, emphasizing that the performers were put in a “no-win situation” where they must react instantly to physical breaches of their space.
The source stated that the failure of the security and police cordon to prevent the fan from circumventing them should be the focus, rather than the defensive reaction of a performer trying to return backstage after a major event.
