• John Cena Refused To Lose The WWE Championship To Current AEW Wrestler
Former World Heavyweight Champion ‘The All-American American’ Jack Swagger was interviewed on the latest episode of Y2J’s ‘Talk is Jericho’ podcast, where Swagger revealed that WWE Legend John Cena refused to drop the WWE Championship to him in 2010.
Here’s what Swagger said:
“The night before (the Money In The Bank cash-in on Chris Jericho), I teased it on RAW where I would almost hit Cena with the briefcase.
I snuck up on him, and then we had one of his brilliant promo segments. Later I find out he refused to do the job for me for the World Championship, but we won’t talk about that.”
Jack Swagger wrestled for WWE from September 2008 until he requested his release in March 2017 and signed with Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in October 2019, where he wrestles as Jake Hager.
