John Cena is coming back to WWE for the first time since Money In The Bank 2023.
WWE just announced that the 16-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion will appear on the September 1st episode of SmackDown and will travel to India for the “WWE Superstar Spectacle” event on September 8th.

No word yet on if Cena is scheduled to wrestle at the India event, as WWE hasn’t announced the card yet.
Cena’s last match took place at WrestleMania 39, where he lost to Austin Theory in a United States Championship match.
During an interview with Busted Open Radio in May, Cena said he wishes he could still wrestle a full-time schedule in WWE today, but at the age of 46 and doing this for over two decades, his body can’t handle it anymore.
He also said that what he has left in the tank is what you saw at WrestleMania 39.
Speaking of the WWE Superstar Spectacle event in India, it will likely be filmed, as WWE did the same for the first ever Superstar Spectacle in 2021.
The SmackDown roster isn’t expected to be a part of this India show, as the show will take place on Friday, so the roster needs to be in USA for Friday Night SmackDown.
