John Cena Solely Responsible For SmackDown Live Star’s Downfall?

As we noted before, it was originally reported that SmackDown Live wrestler Baron Corbin’s backstage heat and downfall was because of him running his mouth on Twitter. Later on it was reported that he also had heat with John Cena (who felt Corbin’s attitude wasn’t right and even shoot on him in front of the creative).

Now, Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barraso noted during an appearance on the WrestlingInc podcast that Cena is solely responsible for Corbin’s downfall in the recent weeks. Below is what he said:

“I heard the kiss of death was Cena. Cena said that Corbin wasn’t ready. I can’t say anymore right now, that’s kind of what I’m trying to work on as we speak. I haven’t heard about the social media. I mean, he’s a heel right? So he should play one on social media. I don’t think that was the issue, but then again they kind of pick and choose who they defend in those cases. I don’t know, but right now, I don’t think that’s (Twitter) the reason.”

NXT Women’s Title Is Now Vacant

Below is the announcement that WWE made on their website:
