• John Cena Was Once Called A “Jobber” By Legendary Diva

During a recent virtual autograph signing with Asylum Wrestling, legendary old school WCW/WWF Diva Torrie Wilson talked about a mixed Tag Team match she wrestled at the UK pay-per-view Rebellion on October 26, 2002 in Manchester, England.

In that match, Torrie and her then fiancé Billy Kidman defeated Old School ECW Diva Dawn Marie and (pre-Rapper gimmick, babyface) John Cena after 5 minutes and 24 seconds, which led to Wilson referring to Cena as a “Jobber”.

Here’s what the WWE Hall of Famer had to say about the incident:

“You know what? It’s so funny, I remember on that tour, that was before Cena really hit it big, and I remember teasing him backstage and calling him a jobber, which is like what we call each other when we lose all the time, and I kind of pride myself on that because it was just way before — who would ever call him a jobber? No one.”

It should be noted that John Cena has since become a 16 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion (ex aequo with Ric Flair) and one of the biggest names in the history of the wrestling business.

Torrie then also talked about “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair’s daughter, Charlotte Flair:

“I’ve been asked this question a few times, and I wish I could give a different answer every time.

I just love Charlotte as a person, and I love that she’s tall and so athletic, and she’d make me look like a million bucks.

She’s so great. She’s such a jaw-dropping athlete. I watch her and I’m just like, ‘How can she do this all the time?'”
