• John Cena’s Upcoming RAW Return Is Already A Success

WWE announced on Monday that John Cena will return on the March 6th episode of RAW.

He is scheduled to face Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39. This will be his 1st appearance at WrestleMania since 2020.

The seeds for this match were planted on the June 27th 2022 episode of RAW, where Theory confronted Cena in a backstage segment.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE sold 2,000 tickets in just 2 days for March 6th RAW after the announcement of Cena’s return:

“They announced John Cena on Monday Night right? They sold 2,000 more tickets as of this morning. They’ll probably end up selling out.

The guy… make no mistake about it, the announcement… what city were they in? Laredo, TX? They sold out the building and then Tampa they sold out.

Tampa didn’t have anything special for an advance and then as soon as they announced John Cena they started moving really, really quick. The other show, the same thing. The guy can move tickets.”

According to WrestleTix, a total of 7,705 tickets have been sold so far for March 6th RAW.

Cena was last seen on WWE programming on the December 30th 2022 episode of SmackDown, where he teamed up with Kevin Owens to defeat the team of Sami Zayn & Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

John’s return helped the tickets sales for this SmackDown episode as well.
