Below are a couple of top NJPW & WWE news stories of the day, involving Jon Moxley and Triple H.
• At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18, AEW star Jon Moxley failed to win the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat Match against David Finlay and Will Ospreay.
Finlay picked up the win and became the inaugural champion, and then went on to have a brawl with the debuting Dolph Ziggler aka Nic Nemeth.
During the post-show press conference, Moxley took a shot at New Japan Pro Wrestling having a lot of Titles.
Here’s what the former WWE Champion said:
“I’ve got to explain why I just came up short in an opportunity for the Global Championship. Is that what this one’s called? There’s like 32 f**king championships.”

• On this week’s RAW, it was announced that Triple H will make a major announcement on Thursday’s “2024 Preview Show” on Peacock. This show was set to be about the premium live events WWE has planned for this year.
Triple H’s major announcement was that Money In The Bank 2024 will take place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on July 6th.
