Below are a couple of top AEW news stories of the day, featuring Jon Moxley and Mercedes Mone.

• Jon Moxley’s faction’s new name was officially revealed on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite: Death Riders.

The reveal took place as Claudio Castagnoli and Pac made their entrance with fresh graphics and a dynamic introduction, confirming that the Blackpool Combat Club has ended and marking a new chapter for Moxley and his allies.

In the match, Castagnoli and Pac faced off against Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin, leading to an intense showdown that descended into chaos. Marina Shafir’s unexpected interference caused a disqualification, sparking an even bigger brawl when Moxley entered the ring.

The Death Riders launched a fierce attack on Cassidy and Allin until The Conglomeration — Kyle O’Reilly and Mark Briscoe — charged in, ultimately forcing Moxley’s faction to retreat through the crowd.

• During an interview on the Battleground Podcast, TBS Women’s Champion & NJPW Strong Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks in WWE) talked about her All Elite Wrestling career and working for Tony Khan. Below are the highlights:

Thoughts on her AEW run so far:

“My first, what, 7 months, it’s been amazing. It’s been the best, so far the best I’ve ever felt in my career. Having these matches and opportunity, and just the chance to keep on growing and going. And having these new dreams and living old dreams.

My biggest dream was to be in Japan, and now I am a New Japan Strong Women’s Champion. It’s been the best so far in AEW because this is where the best wrestle. AEW makes sure that I still have this really competitive fire in me and, like, I still want to be the absolute best. And I feel like I’m just getting started, really.”

AEW’s creative process:

“It’s been so awesome. There’s still some times I still don’t know what I’m doing week-to-week because Tony’s so busy. But once I get here, he’s so easy to talk to. And if I don’t like a certain thing, we can make something work and he’s just very open to creating, and he loves creating for AEW. It’s been amazing so far.”
