Results From Tonight’s WWE NXT vs. AEW Dynamite Battle

WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite went head-to-head tonight. NXT took place at the 2300 Arena (aka ECW Arena), so it featured multiple ECW Legends. Below are the results from both shows.

WWE NXT Results

– Jaida Parker def. Lola Vice in a Hardcore Match with Dawn Marie as the Special Guest Referee

This was Marie’s return to WWE TV after 19 years.

– Wes Lee attacked Rob Van Dam backstage.

– Je’Von Evans def. Wes Lee

– Ava announced that the next NXT premium live event will be NXT Deadline on December 7th and will feature the return of the Iron Survivor Challenge. Robert Stone put down Philadelphia and said that their time has passed. The lights went out and when they came back on, ECW Legend and current TNA star Rhyno was in the ring and he took out Stone with The Gore.

– Ridge Holland & Ethan Page def. NXT Champion Trick Williams & Bubba Ray Dudley

Holland pinned Williams. The heels attacked Page after the match, but Bubba saved Williams. D-Von Dudley then made his return and brought a table with him. Bubba & Trick double-chokeslammed Page through the table.

– Tony D’Angelo (c) def. Nunzio to retain the NXT North American Championship

The two men hugged after the match.

– Zaria, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Jordynne Grace & Kelani Jordan def. NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade & The Fatal Influence

Perez was pinned by Zaria. Former ECW Diva Francine was in attendance for this match.

AEW Dynamite Results

– AEW Dynamite kicked off with Tony Schiavone introducing MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley of The Hurt Syndicate to the ring. MVP brushed Schiavone off, stating he needs no introduction. The crowd chanted his name as he introduced himself and then praised Shelton Benjamin as “The Standard Of Excellence,” highlighting Benjamin’s achievements. Moving to Bobby Lashley, MVP mentioned Lashley’s MMA record and amateur background, calling him “The All Mighty” and noting his multiple World Title wins. MVP announced that their goal is to elevate All Elite Wrestling, describing his business card as a “golden ticket”. He warned that anyone refusing The Hurt Syndicate will face consequences, just as Swerve Strickland did last week. At that moment, Swerve’s music hit. Swerve stepped in, holding a chain and held back by numerous referees. He challenged Lashley to a match at the upcoming Full Gear PPV. MVP responded, “We’ll see you there”.

– Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin def. AEW World Trios Champions Pac & Claudio Castagnoli by DQ after AEW World Champion Jon Moxley & Marina Shafir interfered

After the match, Moxley took out Cassidy, and Claudio tossed Darby into the ring post.

– The Hurt Syndicate approached Ricochet backstage and wished him luck in his match later tonight

– The Conglomeration def. The Learning Tree in a Fight Without Honor

– Adam Cole def. Malakai Black

After the match, Cole said he and Roderick Strong will both complete MJF’s mission and when they do, they will face off in a Triple Threat Match at Full Gear.

– The Patriarchy & Hook met in the ring. Christian Cage asked Hook if he wants to become an announcer like his father Taz, or become a revered multi-time World Champion like him. Christian claimed that no one cares if Taz is alive and wished Taz was dead. Hook attacked Christian.

– Jamie Hayter def. Penelope Ford

– Don Callis received an envelope full of cash, and a video message from MJF to send The Don Callis Family after Adam Cole & Roderick Strong.

– Ricochet & Powerhouse Hobbs def. AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher

This was Hobbs’ return to the ring. Ricochet pinned Takeshita to win this match. Fletcher attacked Ricochet after the match. Mark Davis came out to confront Fletcher and Don Callis Family attacked him as well. Adam Cole came out to brawl with Takeshita. Will Ospreay then came out to save Davis.
