Old School WWF Veteran Bull Buchanan (Real name: Barry Buchanan) turns 52 today.

Buchanan first joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1997 as Recon, a member of The Truth Commission.

After the faction disbanded in 1998, Recon continued to tag with his Truth Commission comrade Sniper for a few weeks and together they were known as “Armageddon”.

In 2000, he returned as Bull Buchanan and teamed with WWF Legend The Big Boss Man for a while before joining Stevie Richards’ heel stable “Right to Censor”.

The last we have seen of him was when he (then known as B2) accompanied John Cena to the ring in late 2002 and early 2003 , before being released from the company.

• David Benoit Reveals Plans For His Wrestling Career

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, David Benoit (son of Chris Benoit from his first marriage) talked about his goal in wrestling – to either wrestle for AEW or NJPW.

Below is what David said:

“That is the goal, to get back into wrestling. When I came here for Double or Nothing, when I was sitting out in that crowd, man – I just got lost in the moment again, like I was way back in 2000 when my Dad was wrestling still. The storytelling in the ring [and] quality wrestling, that’s what I love, man. Great storytelling.

That [to sign with AEW] would be the goal, or New Japan – I tried getting in there. It is so hard getting in there, man, it is the hardest place to get into.

I don’t own [the rights to] his name yet. I have his middle name I can legally use it and they can’t come after me. Yeah [I would wrestle as Chris Benoit, Jr] I think it would be cool. I’ve got the tights with the claw.”
