• Kevin Nash Calls For Legendary Tag Team To Be Inducted In The WWE Hall Of Fame

On a recent episode of his weekly ‘Kliq This’ podcast, WWF Legend ‘Diesel’ Kevin Nash and his co-host Kayfabe Commentaries owner Sean Oliver talked about legendary WWF Tag Team Demolition.

Nash, who was wondering why Demolition aren’t in the WWE Hall of Fame yet, said the following:

“They were all tough. Even a guy like Barry Darsow, just a sweetheart of a guy. Would hook your eye in a heartbeat. I mean, how is Demolition not in the Hall of Fame?”

Both Ax & Smash were part of the CTE (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy) class action lawsuit against WWE a few years ago, which is most likely why they weren’t inducted already, while others who accomplished a lot less, were.

While Demolition don’t hold the overall record for longest Tag Team Title reign in WWE anymore, Demolition’s actual record for the Titles they held (“WWF/WWE World Tag Team Championship”) can never be beaten, as the line of that specific championship ended in 2010.

The Usos currently hold the record for the longest overall run as Tag Team Champions in WWE history, but they accomplished that with a Tag Team Championship (“WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship”) that was first established in 2016.

Yes, it’s the same company, but different championships. It’s like you can not under any circumstances compare the Intercontinental Championship to the United States Championship, even though both are mid-card singles titles on the WWE main roster.

Will we see Demolition getting inducted next year? Will Crush be inducted with them? We’ll keep you updated!
