AEW wrestler Jade Cargill lost the TBS Women’s Championship to Kris Statlander at the AEW Double or Nothing 2023 pay-per-view on May 28th, thus ending her 60-0 undefeated streak.
During a recent episode of his weekly ‘Kliq This’ podcast, Old School WWF/WCW/nWo Legend Kevin Nash criticized All Elite Wrestling for not helping Jade improve her skills since joining the company in 2021.
Here’s what the 2-time WWE Hall of Famer had to say:
“Biggest problem AEW has is they don’t run House Shows, and their talent doesn’t get enough ring time.
Like that Jade Cargill. She’s got an amazing look. But if it was my company and she was my prospect, I would have her twice a week as part of her deal somewhere at a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu place learning how to be f***ing legitimate, then that way there, she’s just a machine.
She’s not improving. Her offense isn’t improving, her punches aren’t improving because she doesn’t get enough ring time.
So what you have to do is you have to expand her horizons and make her even more formidable.”
All Elite Wrestling started doing House Shows this year, but they do it occasionally, not every week like WWE does.
After Jade’s 500+ day title reign ended this past Sunday, she tweeted the following:
“It’s been a wild wild ride. Went for double and got nothing.”
