• Kevin Nash Reacts To Fans Claiming That He Destroyed WCW

On the latest episode of his weekly ‘Kliq This’ podcast, WWF/WCW Legend Kevin Nash responded to the fans who falsely believe that he killed World Championship Wrestling.

There’s a fake theory for many years, that the infamous ‘Fingerpoke of Doom’ caused WCW to go downhill, which – despite it not doing the company any favors – is highly inaccurate, based on the official numbers, as described in detail in Guy Evans’ 2018 book ‘NITRO’ (among many other sources).

Here’s what Big Daddy Cool had to say:

“People would say ‘Nash single-handedly destroyed WCW’. Like it would upset me. I’m thinking like, ‘Wow, like, you’re almost giving me like, that’s almost Trump status’.

So like, I not only killed, like, a wrestling show that at one point had beaten Vince McMahon for 83 weeks. I also forced them to sell the Braves, the Hawks, everything that wasn’t bolted down.”

Kevin Nash was one of the biggest Superstars of the 90s and he wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation / WWE (1993-1996, 2002-2003, 2011), Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (1996-2001) and Dixie Carter’s Total Nonstop Action! (2004-2011).

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015 and again in 2020 as part of the nWo, making him one of only a few 2-time WWE Hall of Famers.
