On a recent episode of his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash didn’t mince words when asked about former WWE executive John Laurinaitis. The 2-time WWE Hall of Famer painted a harsh picture of Laurinaitis’s time in the company, criticizing what he called a manipulative and controlling management style. Nash, never one to hold back, accused Laurinaitis of making life more difficult for wrestlers in order to score points with WWE higher-ups.

The discussion began when co-host Sean Oliver asked if Laurinaitis was difficult to work with, referring to the “professional distaste” many talents had for him. Nash replied bluntly: “Depends on where you are in the f**king hierarchy.”

Kevin Nash Details Laurinaitis’s Alleged Tactics in WWE

Kevin Nash claimed that during Laurinaitis’ time in the Talent Relations department, he routinely pushed rules that were designed less to help the company and more to gain favor with executives.

“He was one of those guys that would come in and to show his worth to the office. He would say, ‘Hey, I know how we can f**k these guys. We’ll put a time clock, and they got to sign it, and if they’re not in by a certain time, then we’ll fine them… and then that’s how we can get us some of this f**king guaranteed money that we got all these guys, because they won’t show up at 11 o’clock,’” Nash recalled.

He criticized the logic of enforcing strict arrival times on wrestlers, who are technically independent contractors.

“Not understanding that the number one thing that differentiates you from being an employee to being a f**king 1099, is f**king not having to show up to work on a certain time.”

Kevin Nash Reflects on His Own Experience with Laurinaitis

Although Nash acknowledged hearing about fines being issued under Laurinaitis’ watch, he said he was never personally affected.

“By the time I had any kind of a relationship with him… it was nothing he was gonna do,” Nash noted.

Kevin Nash on Laurinaitis’s Legal Troubles: “His Life is F**ked”

Laurinaitis has remained in headlines for legal reasons, including being named—and later removed—as a defendant in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against Vince McMahon. Nash addressed Laurinaitis’ current status, saying:

“His life is f**ked, like he sees he’s f**ked. I’m sure he’s at the point where he’s… I don’t see him at signings. I don’t know what he’s doing for money. I mean, I’m sure his life is destroyed by this.”

Despite the strong words, Kevin Nash made it clear he wasn’t interested in further dragging Laurinaitis’s name through the mud.

“I don’t believe in the pile-on f**king rule. His life is sh*t. So I’m not gonna sit here and f**king (pile on). He obviously has continually made bad decisions.”

Nash’s comments offer a raw look into how some veterans of the business view Laurinaitis’ tenure and how the fallout from WWE’s ongoing scandals continues to affect key figures from behind the scenes.
