6. An “Injured” Cesaro To Compete In Match 3 Of The “Best of 7” Series Tonight on Raw, Winner Of The Series To Get A Guaranteed Championship Match on Raw
“The Swiss Superman” Cesaro suffered a back injury (storyline injury) during his match with Sheamus on last week’s episode of Raw. Cesaro got “injured” when Sheamus launched him into the ring post back-first and then applied the Cloverleaf submission for the win.
Cesaro is 2-0 in this “Best of 7” Series and the 3rd match will take place on tonight’s edition of Raw. It should be noted that the winner of this series will get a guaranteed Championship match on Raw. Below is what WWE posted:
Despite a valiant effort against Sheamus this past Monday night, Cesaro sustained multiple contusions to the lumbar spine during the bout, which The Celtic Warrior used to his advantage by locking The Swiss Superman in the Cloverleaf to extend his lead to 2-0 in their Best of Seven Series. Sheamus is now just two victories away from earning a guaranteed championship opportunity on Raw, and based on Cesaro’s condition, it’s unlikely that The King of Swing will be at 100 percent come Monday night.
