• Kofi Kingston Could Drop The WWE Title Earlier Than Originally Planned Date

As we have noted before, WWE plans to have Kofi Kingston drop the WWE Championship to Mr. Money In The Bank Brock Lesnar when SmackDown moves to FOX.

However, Vince McMahon could end up preponing this Title change because The New Day’s merchandise sales are dropping.

According to Brad Shepard, Vince McMahon could end Kofi’s WWE Title reign sooner than originally thought if Kofi’s merchandise sales drop (it should be noted that Kofi is still a top merchandise seller in WWE):

“According to a source in WWE, New Day’s merch sales are dipping. The internal thought is if Kofi Kingston’s merch sales continue to dip, that could give Vince McMahon incentive to have him drop the title and not ‘delay the inevitable’.”
