On this day in 1988, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Superstars of Wrestling’.
This episode was pre-taped at the Von Braun Civic Center in Huntsville, Alabama and featured matches, promos & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF Royal Rumble 1988’ event.

• Konnan Reacts To Getting Slapped Outside Impact Wrestling Tapings
Old School WCW Veteran Konnan was recently slapped by a wrestler named Psicosis II (not the Psicosis from WCW).

The story behind this is that Psicosis II noted on Twitter that he won’t be appearing on AAA TV until Konnan is gone from the company.
This led to Konnan saying he didn’t say anything to his face when they were at the AAA office. Konnan also said that if he thinks he’s such a big star, then why isn’t he in other brands like ROH, NXT, 205 Live, MLW, Impact Wrestling, AEW, etc.
Psicosis then noted that he’s going to be meeting him face to face after Impact Wrestling’s TV tapings in Mexico, and that’s what he did and Konnan ended up getting slapped.
During his podcast, Konnan had the following to say about this incident:
“Now I see he’s with other guys, so I’m kinda looking around and thinking, ‘bro, is this guy gonna actually jump me here with these guys?’
While I’m kinda looking out of my peripheral and I’m trying to defuse the situation, he slaps me. I’m thinking real quick for that split second, ‘bro, if I hit him, I KNOW I’m gonna get jumped.’ I just know I am, I just feel it.
If we would’ve been one-on-one, I would’ve punched the sh*t out of him. I’m thinking in that moment, let me get out of here so I can get into the dressing room and I can get everyone out.”
